Build A Great Dog --Group Modules

Current Class Offerings:

NOTE All class enrollments require at least one private lesson prior to enrollment. Contact me for further details

Module ONE: MANAGEMENT & RELATIONSHIP. Course covers introduction to the foundations and principles of training as well as how to optimize your training relationship! This course is highly recommended prior to enrollment in additional modules.

Module TWO: STATIONARY SKILLS. Staying still is a basic necessity for many situations including nail trims, grooming, veterinary visits, safe home and car entry/exits and more! Learn how to teach your dog a rock solid stay skill.

Module THREE: COME WHEN CALLED. Maybe one of the most important skills you can teach! Having a reliable recall opens up your dog’s world and vastly increases your enjoyable time together! Learn how to create recalls so fast and reliable your dog will get grass stains!

Module FOUR: WALK ON LEASH. Controlled behavior on-leash enhances both your dog’s and your time together. Learn how to set up for success by building skills one-by-one.

Tricks! Class

TRICKS   (4 Weeks,  $100)

Tricks are a wonderful way of having fun and bonding with your dog; improving your understanding of cues and timing; keeping both of you active and mentally stimulated; and entertaining friends and family.

In this class you will learn how to teach your dog some fun tricks such as spins, roll overs, weaves, backing, crawling, jumping and many more.

This class will be taught by Arlene Rauschl.  Arlene and her dogs have earned many titles and several championships in obedience, agility, freestyle and tricks.

Turid Rugaas Seminar

Turid Rugaas has had a lifelong commitment to understanding dogs, their behavior and body language.  Turid is perhaps best known for her acclaimed book, On Talking Terms with Dogs: Calming Signals. 

Highly popular and acclaimed, Turid travels almost every week-end through the Far East, North America and Europe offering seminars to a wide variety of groups and individuals working with dogs. 

Turid will be in the United States in the fall of 2017 and will offer a two-day seminar at the Canine Consultants Behavior & Training Center in Rumely, Michigan on October 28 and 29.  Topics for the weekend will include canine communication, nose work, canine emotions, and building better relationships with our dogs!
