Living well with our dogs is what we all want. Sometimes there’s a bit of struggle while we work that out. In this course we will discuss how to drop that struggle and develop a relationship with your dog that makes everything else you want to build together much, much easier. With a strong foundation, you can build whatever you and your dog have the aptitude to build!

One of the most important things you can learn to do with your dog is play with them the way they like to play! Your dog is a hunter and the games we play with them are variations on that theme. When you become part of that world with them, it’s like you’ve finally discovered the secret handshake! Come and learn how to play like nobody’s watching! Learn how to read your dog’s body language, teach rules around games, play effectively with toys, set up nose games, and teach while you’re doing it!

In this 4-week course we will cover the skill of stillness.  Many tasks require that your dog learn to follow a cue for a skill and maintain that skill over time.  Your dog can learn to run to his or her bed and stay there, offer his or her steady paw for a nail trim, stay still for a veterinary exam, or just wait at a door!  Dogs that understand the concept of voluntary stillness are a dream to live with; dogs that willingly comply are happier dogs! 

Taking your dog for a walk can be one of the most enjoyable experiences you have with them. Unless they pull. Then? Then it's not only not fun, it can be painful and unsafe. Let's get your dog mentally connected to you and walking with you on a loose leash. Come and learn how!
